I'm completely serious. I'm not saying she did anything wrong, but you have to watch out for idiots on the road. It's easier to avoid a dangerous situation if you've prepared for it to go bad, rather than flipping open the bus door without checking the mirrors. I would have been on that horn to warn the kids.

Plus, a see a ton of bus drivers driving like complete idiots. Had a bus tailgate me for several miles on a two lane. They also will cut me off after a slow pass like every other steering wheel holder I have to deal with.

Having driven a school bus, it does indeed happen quite frequently. People are in a big hurry to get nowhere fast, and will do whatever they can (and sometimes are more than willing to attempt things they can't) to try getting there a few seconds quicker. The rules of the road don't apply to them, because they are important in their own eyes and the rules are only applicable to others...NOT them.

I got on the highway yesterday and the on ramp was right before a big hill. I was doing all of 38 mph to try and climb this sucker. Guy behind me gets really frustrated, honks and flips me the bird when he drives by. I just had to shake my head and laugh.

I see this too. Day before yesterday, as I'm meandering along in my extremely slow company truck (61mph) getting passed by everyone on the big road, i watched a schoolbus full of grade schoolers begin to pass me, and then casually wander at least 6 inches across the zipper as they go on by.
Not the type of driver I want carting my (nonexistent) kids to school....

If these bad drivers were subjected to there own acts of ignorance I wonder if they would have a different view of it.
    Like the sign says.

    What. The. Heck!?
The swing out stop sign is on the driver's side, so it's okay to pass on the right? How did that driver not see those kids? What a stupid risk. I hope he is ID'd.

The cops r e a l l y need to find that SUV driver and throw them under the jail. Seeing this infuriates me to no end.

Here's the same video that shows additional commentary, plus additional clips of the same violation.
It also includes one with a tractor trailer driving on the shoulder around a stopped bus (like the SUV did), while a girl was approaching to board the bus.

And here's the same incident/video as the OP posted, but it shows the bus's approach before stopping at the driveway to pick up the kids.

How can they not find the person?.... I didn't know that little girls foot was hit. Boom, now they can press bigger charges.

If I was a LEO in that area I'd pull that make and model and year range in that white color and just start working that list until I found them.

Looked like it had aftermarket rims. It's in the morning. I bet dollars to donuts they will be on that road around that same time the next day, if they are dum enough to take the same route.
