That is one option, but they are also offering to pay for school for a Western regional in the Portland area. That is the deal I just accepted.

525 miles today. Live load in Central Point took less than an hour to load. Made it to Madera CA for the night. 90* out right now. Will be at delivery early AM. No pre assignment yet.

Hey Softail: I'm curious how your schedule has been working out for you. How many weeks out versus how many days off? Have you got an average you could share? Thanks!

    Grijon Thanks this.

I normally try to stay out between 2-3 weeks at a time (around 18 days). The longest I have stayed out is 4 weeks. I will then stay home 3-5 days. This schedule works great for me. Then it does not bother my wife me being gone.

Thank you for your reply. Who makes the determination how long you stay out and how many days you get home time? (You or Schneider?) Is there a minimum amount of time you have to stay out? Is there a maximum amount of time you get time off?

    Grijon Thanks this.

You make the decision of when you want to go home. SNI will get you home within a day or two of your request. Unless you plane tickets or event that you need to be home on a certain date. Message your DBL with the date of your event and they will get you there by the requested date. When you request home time on the Q/C, it askes for a return date. Put the date you want to return. Staying home too long does effect your bonus. They have a % of work days in the matrix. Never had a problem with any of my return dates....yet.

Normally they say 14 days out for 2 days off, minimum. Then add 1 day off for each additional 7 days out, max 4 (according to my DBL). This is for Western Region. Others may be different.

We do 3 weeks out with 5 days at home. Tried the 14/3 and we didn't make as much money.

25,626 miles for April as a team and a little over $5700 earned (1100 was bonus). At home until the 6th of May.

During the time I drove company out of Charlotte the home time rules there were 1 week out - home every week for 34 // 2 weeks out 2 days off + 2 weeks out 3 days off (alternating 2/3 days off every 2 weeks) // 3 weeks out 5 days off, maximum of 5 days off per month. My DBL wouldn't let me take more than 5 off in a row, I stayed out for 5 weeks in a row once and tried to take 7 off and that was a no-go lol.

Only 291 miles today. A lot of sitting at docks today. Delivered live load in Selma. Next pre assignment was to DH 28 miles to Visalia for another live load. This live load was headed 203 miles to be delivered today in LaPuente at 19:00. After unloaded, new pre assignment was to head 34 miles to Fontana OC to P/U relay. The relay is going 1027 miles to Hermiston OR.

Made it to Fontana OC with 1 minute left on my 14. Whew....sure glad no traffic jams. I left LaPuente with 42 minutes on my 14. I thought I might have to be towed to either S El Monte or Fontana. No parking in the area.
