Thats pretty good! Are you running under your own authority? If not who are you leased on too? Do you have a truck payment or is paid for?
-
A&A Express... I have a new volvo 730. And I watch my fuel costs.. I have to run hard to get that, but it's worth it.
Planned on getting my own authority after I paid of this truck, but eagle caught my eye. Concept seems to be great.... But the money just isn't there yet.
I can haul plenty of 1.30 freight here . Just choose not to... I try and stay with the produce loads from cali to the Midwest and back. And don't have any trailer payment.
BTW I get 74% and 100% of the fuel surchargestormy379 Thanks this. -
Thats a pretty sweet set-up! That trailer payment and not getting the 100% of the surcharge is killing me. Along with a few other nickel and dimes. It could be better
-
Yeah that is probably the best thing is to wait for the money to flow, most of my loads have been in the $1.30 to $1.50 range, not great but not bad. With Eagle you have to put 3k to the truck each pay period or you will end up in the hole, my first check was a whopping $300, and I don't have truck or trailer yet, but then I only did about 2500 to the truck, but this round I'm on track to get 5k to the truck by Tue.
As a west coast runner, I have to get used to the East side again until my reefer comes in, for now I'm dragging this wonderful dry van, newer trailer though.cbtx12 Thanks this. -
Dry freight is probably why the rate is so low... Refeer freight always pay higher.
My truck payment is 2400 a month for 42 months. Then I can dump it or buy it for 54000. Not the greatest deal. But it beats the 6 year deal I have heard of. I will continue to watch... I have had my own trucks before. I took a 3 year stint in the oil fields and found out I don't care to manage people... -
Still here, just been trying to get a grip on My General Manager and DM. Had to run dry van this week, but picked up my flatbed yesterday. My first run paid me $1338.83 to NJ, which I freakin hate, but then again I was pulling a stinky dry van.....Lol!
-
I am going to try and stay on the SE side of things, I've done enough of the NYC thing, ran into one Eagle driver who runs NYC all the time, says the loads pay well, just don't pay much coming out. See if my D.M can work me back to Indy, so I can get my truck worked on, and get the speed turned up, will be dropping in Springfield IL Tue. I have an app. for the Echo board so I can check it to see what they have to offer, couldn't find much on the Landstar board.
-
Does that echo app works for you? Its seems to have issues on my phone. I have the samsung note 4.
-
Yeah I have the Iphone 5s and it works great on that phone, trying to get landstar figured out.
