He probably won't be hired by anyone for a while. His first wreck was a rollover, and Swift should have let him go but kept him on. That's why he can't get hired.

The short answer is yes; you are screwed. Think: you flopped a truck and got a 2nd chance. That wasn't good enough so you ran into another truck at a truckstop. Even Swift has a limit for this nonsense and they canned you. Based on your "incidents"; you lack the judgement to operate a truck safely. Find another job and chalk it up to being "not for you".joseph1135 Thanks this. -
I was just stating what all the other companies that I've talked to that referred to it as a type 2 accident. To me it was just a #### accident and I screwed the pooch on it. As to why my mentor was in the sleeper that is a good question. The entire thing was FUBAR from the very beginning. I was at home and got a call from a women stating she was picking me up and would be my mentor. I had no knowledge of anyone picking me up. I was supposed to be going back to the terminal to pick up my Comdata card, my Medical card, and other paperwork. When I got to where she was picking me up she told me she needed me to drive my 10 hours. I explained to her that I had been up since I had been up since 2:30 that morning. She stayed up with me for a couple of hours and then said she was going to get in the sleeper. I told her I wasn't comfortable with that and she said drive or she would drop me off somewhere. I got tired after picking up our load and pulled over on the shoulder and got to far over. That was just the beginning of hell with that woman. She ran us 10 hours out of our route for personal issues and then we both ran out of hours in Laredo and had to sit on the side of the road for 5 hours. All of this barely touches the surface of what happened with her, before I requested a different mentor. Once I got someone new I had no problems and 100% on time pickup and delivery. Swift knows she was in the sleeper and said nothing to her about it, and she is still a mentor. Not putting the total blame on her and I know I should have put my foot down. Just didn't want her throwing me off the truck and I wanted to get my hours so I could start running solo. Guess it cost me big time.

We don't need anymore name calling or fast food job referrals in here.

I dont know what ya'lls problem is on here. I had just started driving when all this happened. I have a degree idegree in computer technology but after being out of work for over a year I had to do something to try and support my family. I didnt message on here to be ridiculed by mindless people. I was told this was a place to go and get help and answers. Guess I was wrong. I appreciate the help I did get from those that had something useful to offer, but there just seem to be to many mindless people on here that forgot they we're new at this at one time.

It's not a problem. But truth. You rolled a truck. That's the death knell. At least for 3 years. There's certain things in this industry that can stop you from driving. A rear-end, drugs and alcohol, and a rollover. You had a rollover.

Not using it as an excuse dude. I know crap happens but your way of coming at me was uncalled for. I'm not pissin and moaning about what happened. I know there are things I should have done differently. I'm not saying it wasnt my fault. I simply wanted someones opion if I was totally done or after this drops off in 3 years what my options were. I'm not some 21 yr old kid that is going to be talked in a demeaning manor. If you cant give the advice that someone needs without the unnecessary commentary then keep your mouth shut.
