An overweight ticket isn't going to cause you any problems.

$50?! That'll be the cheapest ticket you ever get. Pay it and move on.

Same in Ontario. 5,000kg per axle. So my Volvo feed truck (14,590kg tare) is legal on the half load roads empty.

Weight tickets don't go on your record. They are just a state tactic for revenue farming. I'm surprised it's so cheap. That's cheaper than some tolls I run. If that road cuts off more than fifty miles I'd roll the dice every time and take it.

I'm pretty sure it will go on my record. I've gotten normal overweight tickets and they don't show but they consider travelling down a no truck road "improper operation of a mv" which I don't think is the same as a regular truck overweight. I'd just pay it if I was sure it didn't go on my record. Also I'm 100% sure that my monthly personal insurance rate will go up. Mass is brutal with that.
