I applied for a driving position at USxpress. When I received a confirmation for three day orientation in Lincoln Nebraska they called me to cancel my orientation. Two of my past employers, Midcities Motor Freight in St Joseph Missouri and Vitran Express, Terminal in Kansas City, Kansas claimed they terminated me when in actuality I quit them both. Midcities is a piece of work. Their driver turnover is extemely high. They're training new drivers 3 to 4 every week. Vitran is a sorry case to. Their driver turnover isn't as high as Midcities but never the less it's consistant. Midcities is in the Intermodal industry which is the most sorry, unsafe industry in trucking. Intermodal is time consuming which is why Midcities don't pay by the hour, they pay you by what you do, some call it piece work, I call it performance work. You don't move any containers or chassis' you make nothing. If they send you on a road run and have to wait to get loaded or unloaded you get no detention time, although they promise you get it, it's even written in their work rules, it's a big lie. Drivers in Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City Missouri save yourself some anguish and stress, I would recommend you stay away from these two companies, also their dispatchers communication skills sucks, they talk to you as if you're some Indentured Slave. Makes you want to hurt someone in the dispatch office after talking to them on the company radio. They haven't learned, in most situations dispatchers can make or break a company when it comes to keeping good quality drivers. One jack off who dispatches recently got out of a missouri state penal institution,so you know he doesn't possess communication skills. Drivers Beware!!!

In my opinion, drivers talk the truth far more than recruiters!!! I'm sure many drivers would agree with me! Everyone flings a little bull once in a while, but recruiters are DRIVEN to lie. The reason for the decpetions are the things to focus on, and we all know why they lie!(recruiters)

I saw this happen to some good drivers at orientation also. Some get it streightened out but it is not right for an employer to do that. The drivers that leave a company need to get a signed copy of why they quit it will save them alot of time and maybe a job too. I am new to trucking so from now on thats what I will do.

(I really hate to see you go and good luck)

    NOT REALLY !!!!!!!!!!!

If you guit, but they claimed you were fired, You should file an appeal of the information on your DAC. I would not sit by and let it stay.. A while lost of CO lie to their employees, I'm sure employees lie just as much..
