Hello, I am in the process of adding a hazmat endorsement to my CDL A and planned on living in my house for another couple of years. However this weekend during hometime I noticed we have some renters move near us and are causing problems. So I am thinking about moving after I get my Hazmat endorsement. I plan to move from Nashville Tn to Dallas TX and wanted to know if things will simply get switched over to my new Texas license or how does that work?
Moving to another city how does that affect my CDL?

Check with TX to see what is needed to transfer your CDL.
Some states, like MN, are easy - except for the HM endorsement.
HM requires the full payment and background check.
Some states require that you take the full testing requirements for everything.OOwannaBE Thanks this. -
TX is easy. Everything other than hazmat will transfer. I think it was $70 or so when I did it. No tests, but several pages of paperwork to fill out.

Thanks for the reply. Ive found that contacting the TX DMV is impossible. When I find their email I will have to ask them that way.

They have a nice website with the answers to your question.

I am pretty sure you will need your original birth certificate or a certified copy from your State Health Dept. to transfer a hazmat endorsement to Texas. A Xerox copy of your birth certificate will not work in Texas.

Texas doesn't have a "DMV". Vehicle licensing is done at local county assesors office. Drivers licenses are obtained at the local DPS (Dept of Public Safety/State trooper office). Try: https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/DriverLicense/
