You can format it while it is in the TND. The computer should see the SD Card as another external Drive. Just watch your drive letters and do not format the TND by mistake.

    Thanks,
    Mark

All you have to do is right click on the drive letter and Format is available on a MS DOS machine.

    Thanks,

Minimum of 8gb, but I also suggest a Class 10. You should see a "10" on the card.

    Thanks,

This is a screen issue if it keeps loosing alignment. You might want to contact RM for a cost on an OOW screen replacement.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Auto-dimming at dusk seems to be off by ~15 minutes (should dim sooner). Auto-brightening at dawn is OK.

Think it is set for after, not before.

    Thanks,

    Mark,

I've sent my 730 back to RM for service because of constant lockups. They sent me a unit with the same serial number back and it is doing exactly the same thing.

It won't run for more and a couple of hours (usually 15-30 minutes) without throwing multiple NAVI.exe errors and locking up, or just outright locking up without the NAVI.exe errors.

Should I send the unit back yet again?

If not, what can be done to get a reliable 730?

    Thanks in advance.

    Lane Assist gripes:

On MO-125 heading north just south of Strafford, there ought to be a turn assist at the intersection of highway D. The TND just says "continue on 125 for 10 miles" but 125 actually makes a right turn off of the highway so if you're not paying close attention to the little highway signs, you'll wind up in a residential-type area. There ought to be "turn right to continue on 125" warning here:

On US-71 heading north through Kansas City, lane assist initially tells you to exit on 2H Admiral Blvd instead of 2G (us-71):

Once you get onto US-77 from NE-2 and head north towards I80-west, the TND acts as if you are already on I-80 and says nothing like "keep left to go onto I80 west"
