When loading the cars, do you get paid or does mileage pay include the loading of the cars...waiting time to get loaded...do you get waiting pay

Waiting time? The only time you'll spend waiting is gathering your cars to load them. Most carhaulers get paid percentage of gross. The union guys and a few other outfits get mileage and so much per car to load/unload. I saw you asked about money. Anyone who has the skill set to be a carhauler will be making near six-figures or better within a few years of starting.

I don't have any idea on H&A pay. Capacity is so tight right now, I don't think layoffs would be a problem. A little more likely at a plants due to plant shutdowns (Vacation/Model year switch), but everyone is hurting for trucks.

For the second time, go talk to these guys at the TA or pilot in Smyrna. Most of the guys
on here are owner ops and have no clue about each company's pay rates.

These guys will probably be thrilled to talk to you since they probably will get a referral bonus if you sign up

I've been with Cassens for over 2 years and the only time I don't drive my bid truck is if it's shopped. I've never heard of anyone having to slip seat.

Smyrna has some of the newest equipment we have. Majority of there fleet is newer 11 car Volvos.

And drivers on the bottom of the board in Smryna typically go to Chicago area which from Smryna is not a bad paying load by any means. Also you have almost 0 dead head miles coming out of Chicago since there's 3 different terminals that have yards to load out of.

    Cassens trucks go 61-63 mph.

My first year wage was over $80,000

The only terminal I've seen do layoffs in 2 years was KC.

My insurance, medical, dental etc is included in my dues at $61 a month.

Usually no more than 2-3. Just depends on what you pick.

I try to get home once during the week in between loads.

They train at what ever terminal you will be working at.
