Yeah a 36" base shaft would be a lil to much..On my last truck(volvo) i had my predator on a custom made solid 18" shaft mounted to mirror arm..Had to lean it about 20 deg foward to get it away from the door..Then with the plastic bushings in the door hinge i used a few ground straps to help some..Ran 16 ga(i think) from mirror arm(ant mount) to actual factory ant mount..Another run of it to the door side of door hinge and then a cpl flat ground straps from door side of hinge to cab side of door hinge..It certainly helped but not sure how much..
Bought some books from aarl to learn and i read a few cb forums and i swear gettin a great set up that will make me happy(Im a fussy p#*ck)will be the death of me..I have a mfj259b and im learning that thing is good but makes me wanna drown in beer at the same time lol..Seems the more i learn the more i find wrong or the things i thought i learned were wrong....I swear until you totally understand this stuff and know how to fix it its hit or miss,ya know like a woman..lol

FWIW...the wilson shafts will work on the sirio trucker. IIRC, the wilson shafts were 5-10-18 and 24". Or any 3/8x24 shaft should work.
I have a sirio 4000hp hard mounted on the cab of my pickup. Sirios are awesome antennas

I've never tried one, but looks like I may have too!

I'm thinking the Sirio will be my next car antenna.

I'd like to try a sirio trucker, but I need to get rid of a couple antennas first lol. It'll be the next one I buy for my big truck, just don't know when

I'm thinking the same thing... been looking for a reason to get one anyway.

I run a 2000 Wilson with a cobra 29LX right now. It's not bad at all, but my coax has been in this rig for a while. It runs in the headboard where the amp and wires for the stereo run. (It's a 2000 Pete flat top so the stereo is up there.

For me a good tech was the answer. There's a CB shop at the AC&T truckstop in Hagerstown, MD, a guy named Bob. He knows radios inside out, tuned my Cobra really well, got me a 5' fiberglass single straight antenna. Per this excellent guy, no frills on the antenna, don't use a noise suppression or amplifier on your microphone, it works well. Depends on weather to some extent. Good tech, at least to get a start.

Well be sure and give us a review. I've known about them for years and the people I've known that run them swear by them. I didn't get one because they are longer than everything else. I slap enough stuff with the Wilson 1000 on the roof of my GMC Sonoma.

I've had good talk at 20 miles, and 1 mile. Usually 2-4 miles. My Cobra was broadcasting at 4w out of the box, 44w after a few filters and circuits got some love. Pretty good service, 2yrs.
