Safe for Attractive Women?

Well drivers, Packrat is right. This thread has shifted to what "most" drivers find interesting.However, the fact is as a woman I can attest to the fact that it IS " mostly" safe. Ya know sometimes I feel safer in my truck in a truckstop than I do in my own home! Of course I live in one of the most violent cities in the country.
But I can ALSO witness that sometimes it's not the truckstops you have to be concerned about, it's the warehouses and the stops along the way.(TRUST ME ON THIS ONE) " Most" truck drivers are just hard working individuals and there is still somewhat of a comradery. However the fact is the inequality of respect needs a tremendous amount of tweeking! If you are an attractive, fit and an intelligent individual of the opposite gender of the majority it puts a burden on the ones that " feel" a bit inadequate . But if you hand them their ego in a nicely wrapped pckg they either become your forever friend or slowly disappear into the darkness of the parking lot all the while mumbling under their breath how you don't belong in their " perceived" world.

Most of the drivers are just doing their job and trying to make an honest living and we try to help each other along the way when we can.

You'll probably have about the same amount of attention, wanted or not, as you would at your local mall. No ones going to ask you to stop being a woman. But remember boys will be boys.

 

And perverts will be perverts..... Lol

 

I have been around truck stops for 30 years and I believe truckers are some of the most curtious, kindness, caring people I have ever met.
It all has to do with how you present yourself and the situations you put yourself in.
I always act like a lady and I am treated as the same.!

 

A couple years ago i read an article while in canada that the fbi believes there could be as many as 21 serial killers driving truck.????? I dont know i just read it

21? Out of the millions on the road? That makes us safer than cops, doctors, real estate agents (how many times have YOU heard stories of a realtor killing his wife?) politicians & plumbing contractors.

Good lord, ONLY 21?!?

 

I heard that we use to have a good looking women driver once . I assume there must be at least 1 or 2 but they are as rare as unicorns.

 

I am an attractive guy, mid 50's and I have to look over my shoulder all the time. I feel your pain about being good looking.
