When it comes to the NE I try and fuel in NJ..cheapest around here.
    Then in PA.
As for cheaper fuel down south I agree it is..but so are the rates.
    So it's a wash.
I run in the Midwest when I can..but it's tough to get out there for a decent rate.

By no means is the NE better..it works for me.
I know NJ/PA/MD/DE like the back of my hand..NY/CT/MA pretty #### good.
Running 2 loads a day(most of the time).
I usually have an average fuel cost of under a $950.
    Miles are usually under 2300.
    Pulling both heavy/light.
    Monday through Friday.
Average pay after expenses..$2000+ (sometimes less when I get lazy and run 4 days).
Very few load cancellations..same customers more often than not.

Choice is about finding what works for YOU..I applaud anyone who can make it work.

I know I kid you guys and gals about running in the NE..that's all it is.
We here in the wonderful NE talk fast, walk and drive fast and it gets faster the further north you go.
It's rough in this area..I've been doing in for 21 years..I hate it and yell like the rest of you.
But brush it off and keep hammering..it's what I know.
Sure I stretch my legs from time to time..but find that it doesn't pay all that well.
It sure as hell helps my mental state though.

    Just saying..
