And you agreed to all that bs!? The 10% loss off the top would have stopped me right there.

Guys say no to these clowns and their crap sit! Just imagine if every broker had their own app, it would be ridiculous.

I've always had a problem with even using another company's BOl. Nothing covers my butt like my own bol and since I have to fill that one out, it will be the only the one I'll be filling out! Only time I make an acception is if a load is paying really good and worth the hassle(ex. random Reindeer car adding $1/mi to the trip). And let me tell you cars arrive has not been on that list for a very long time

Terry, we really have no other choice, we do not do irregular OTR stuff, we have a nice little niche carved out running between three auctions in the northeast moving lease return and repo units into the auctions and dealer units out of the auction. All day trips, with no overnight (we run day cab units) which would change if we started taking irregular loads. Unfortunately, Manheim group makes up about 45% of our business (two of the three auctions we serve are Manheim owned) so if we didn't go along with it we would have to find replacement work, which will pay less than what they are offering even with the 10% cut in rate. It was good when we had the contract directly with Manheim, we survived them trying this third party dispatch crap before, only difference is this time they own Ready Auto Transport so it is not going away nor can we bypass it like we did with UPS Autogistics, Auto DriveAway, Allied, and the rest they have tried over the last 12 years. The one positive about RAT, it has improved our cash flow position, we were on net 45 with Manheim now it is direct deposited into an account within 24 hours of them receiving proof of delivery, and we have seen a marked increase in the volume of work being offered, so overall the 10% cut isn't too bad, nor is using the app. These are the sacrifices you make when you want a direct customer instead of random brokered loads and regular, predictable work flow and routing.

Great post. I agree with the pain it's been. We are also a northeast nitch company. I am curious what everybody uses for software to run their businesses. I've put a lot of thought into this because of the lack of good stuff out there. And not to piss anyone off it would be nice to have an app that was easy to use for the drivers that would communicate with the office. Let me know your thoughts.

If you haul new cars you will be using a app before long chy already has us and many others on apps.
As a Driver i like it it eliminates paperwork and having to turn in BOLS to get paid.
Goes right to the company when its signed .
Far as the poster above it works well for us the loads go right to the phone and from their right to the dealers once signed.

I didnt like it at first but after using it for 5-6 months i like it alot
