    What are the best ways to keep track of your truck while the driver is OTR? GPS? Where to get the best deal on these devices?

    Yes, but when you hear all the horror stories out there, I think it's a good idea to have a tracking device

    Buy the driver a cell phone and pay the bill for him. Track the phone. Everyone wins. You don't have to bother him to find where he is, he didn't have to make check calls and he gets free phone.. We use Verizon family locator.

    I was offered to have my personal line put in with the rest of the fleets phone plan. I declined. instead I got a company phone that I always keep in my truck.(I disabled the "find my friend" app)
    The truck already has a GPS tracker and a idle shut-off.
    I thought the phone with a GPS was toooo much
