QUOTE=Ranger2950;3850909]Anybody know of a good cb shop around Chattanooga TN? Need to get an old Eagle linear rebuilt and want to/need to spend less than buying a new one! Thanks.[/QUOTE]
the best technician in Tennessee that I have found so far is a guy called cigar man in Dandridge Tennessee. interstate 40 exit 412 otherwise known as Mountain View electronics. if the old man died because he was pretty old last time I was there I would not recommend letting his children work on your radio but if the old man is still alive he does fairly good work

I've talked to him. Thank you for the info.

I would agree about the quality of Q5 . at least they know how to use an oscilloscope and a signal generator to some extent. the work they do is better than 99% of what is out there

Yeha, you gotta be like a snake to not be screwed by both shops.
-
I think that he's at Collumbus. I could be mistaken.

That's sad to hear. A guy called Kodiak used to own and operate that CB shop at the Morgan exit and he was a great tech but he passed away a few years back. He'd have a fit if he knew that shop has gone to crap.
