Need a good clean, powerful radio

Unfortunately, most of his videos are on Facebook, not YouTube.

 

I know yall have prolly answered several of the same questions.... I'm sorry in advance. my husband's radio has quit working(Galaxy 77??) , he is using a cobra 29 radio he used in his pickup for the time being. I know he does have some sort of Wilson ant. And a nice mic already.... I'm wanting to surprise him with a nice cb. I don't want to break the bank totally.... he likes to reach out and "touch" someone when he uses his CB. He also likes for his Cb to look nice in his truck. Any help please??

 

Does he use the other channels? If not a cheap fix could be a Galaxy 959 and a little KL-203 amp. It will out do his DX77! He will Love the range!

 

But he wants the echo. Would that work? Thank you for your reponse also.

 

That's not scope watts, that's a modulated envelope pattern.

 

The galaxy 959 doesn't have echo, but an echo board can be added.
If your looking at 10 meter exports, like his galaxy 77, they are the only ones that come from the factory with echo. BUT, remember that 10 meter exports have to be modified to work on cb frequencies.

They don't make a galaxy 77 anymore, but you might look at a connex 3300hp or a general lee. They will be about the cheapest as far as 10meter radios go, they are popular trucker radios, and are good solid performers as well.

I watched it but ... it is rather humorous, seeing if a thru-line is accurate with a scope that may not be.

Nevertheless, scope watts.... too funny.

 

I'm very happy with my Stryker SR-955HP. Good power and the ssb works great.
