I worked for Cassens in Smyrna 3 years ago before taking my current carhaul job in my home city. They did no slip seating there at the time. The equipment is all new or new rehabbed rigs. For you living in that area it would be a great job. The thing I didn't care for was that they put all city loads on the road board, meaning the bottom drivers ran short, but not a problem when you live close. I had to pay my own hotel when staying locally. There is still plenty of money to be made, since when you do get a road load it will be Ohio, Illinois or Wisconsin. $600-$800 outbound and $500-$700 backhaul. You can make $1500-$2000 a week from the start. It's not easy work, but worth it after you learn what your doing. The driver trainer in Smyrna is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and knows carhauling like no one else. The dispatcher and terminal manager not as nice, but they are fair.

 

Try USAL. I've been with them for a little while now and love it. We have a Nashville terminal now and also Birmingham AL, Canton MS, and a couple in Georgia that will offer great back hauls for you. They have a great 5 week training program for experienced drivers with no car hauling experience.

 

Yes I have insurance for my whole family. I do have to pay for it but it's good insurance at a good price. Be patient as the hiring process can take a little while but for me anyway, it was worth the wait
