On guard sucks. The only good thing is that I can see how fast the vehicle ahead of me is going and weather or not I can pass efficiently. I have yet to take a short trip. I've run back and forth from Cali to Jersey twice now. My trainer has yet to take a load for less then $1.20. Respect drivers? Can't comment on that one but from the way I was treated during my training and orientation, I can't say they disrespected me. And my trainer has been with them 3 years and likes them. 3 weeks OTR is about standard if you want to make money. Anything less, you might as well work at McDonalds. As far as me being vegan and working reefer, that is my business. People will eat meat regardless of weather i transport it or not. Might as well make money off of y'all killing yourselves. One thing I won't do is run livestock. Josh ran Henderson to the ground? If that is true, then why are there new people coming through the driving school and orientation weekly? In big numbers. So many that Henderson actually lets people go who they think won't be a good fit for the company? They have the ability to pick and choose from a large pond. That doesn't sound like a company being run into the ground.
bad company ...lies lies lies ...and it starts with recruiting

The reason they had to be bailed out by prime is because he ran it in the ground. Why don't you get out on your own for awhile and figure out the game. It two different worlds from your trainers truck to your own.

The fact that they have a in house school for a 300 hundred truck company shows they have major driver retention problems.
average joe Thanks this. -
1.20? I couldn't be bothered. Got to have at .2.50 to make it all work or you're working for free or paying to work.T_TRUCKER. Thanks this.

But, but, he got a really good discount on fuel through his carrier ... Aaaaand cheap tires ... Aaaaaand it was a light load so he got good mpg!
mwc1576 Thanks this. -
Or they are growing. But you are right. I am speaking from little experience and made no attempt to hide that fact. I am only speaking from the little training I've had thus far. And the words of people who drive for Henderson. We will see when I upgrade what it looks like. I have never been one to stick with a company that I'm unhappy with. If I don't like them, there are a lot of other companies who will hire me.

Ya and I live in the area they have a lot full of empty trucks. Doesn't seem like growth to me.
-
In house school + lot full of empty trucks = nobody wants to there.
At least that's what I'm gathering.T_TRUCKER. and average joe Thank this. -
