Higher miles truck?

You take a gamble when u drive a rig period. You take a gamble everytime u drive next to a car who driver only have 3hrs exp at the local DDS. The bigger u are on the hwy, the bigger the gamble, and we're doing it everyday.

 

Things can happen buying a low mileage truck too. In December my brother bought a clean '01 Classic XL in California with 900k miles on it for $32k. Never been out of the state, it had never seen snow until I was driving it home for him. Had 85k on an overhaul done at a Cummins shop with documentation. He ran it for a little over a month and we had to plane the head and put a new head gasket on because the liner protrusions were low. The kicker was Cummins gave them a one year warranty and it had been a year and a half since the overhaul. The 85k on the rebuild was because this truck had turned into their spare truck and sat most of the time.

 

It boils down to research, FACTS (proof of what has been done), and some good luck. Good Luck
