Hi All,
I have been sitting in the background reading the post here, but know I have some thing to say.
To say that the trucking industry is to blame for the air quality problem in Macon is a crock. What about the local causes like Warren Robins AFB and all of the manufacturing plants that exist in the area! And how about the local governments lack of control on local emissions
I can see the head line now.
Trucker J.Q. Smith said the he was exhausted because he was unable to sleep.August 15th 2008 Trucker blamed for multiple traffic accident fatality.
He stated that with the temperature being 95 degrees and with 100% humidity, and that he didnt want to break the Law by idling his truck so he could run his A/C.
Just my 2 cents worth
And by no means am I an environmentalist I pass gas every day and drive a Dodge Megacab getting 12/14 MPG.
OMG this sounds like a Lawyers wet dream

"Without air conditioning, the
temperature of a truck cab could easily exceed 120 degrees in a South Georgia summer. To ask truckdrivers to endure these sorts of conditions is unreasonable, unhealthy and inhumane"
Put that in your pipe and smoke it Georgia, and tell your pal California too.

This and CA take the cake. All drivers must quit.
