I just picked up two of these this morning, never having used them before. Am I using them correctly?

LOL...you do like I do. I bought 4 of them a year ago and never used them. I dont know how to use them either. I cant see the channel that they fit into to see if that plate could be turned around and pulled backwards and locked in.
-
Tried- they only fit one way.

The ones that came on my Chapperal's you "could" put in either way, BUT, if you have them standing straight up make SURE you are pulling straight up on them, as in chained over an 8 wide container or crate, otherwise when you tighten your chain boomer you will bend them in.
What brand trailer is that? -
its a MAC. Tarp Stop sold me the plates said they were specific to MAC
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
No clue,.. I've never used them before. I dont even think they would work on my trailer. Mine has the chain pockets instead.

I used to use them quite a bit on my old trailers, mostly for wheeled equipment, but our new trailers are all over the tire straps. -
I had them on a East Step. I liked them for strapping over wheel wells.
And the rub rail and side of the trailer was as straight the day i bought it as then day I sold it.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
We have them on a Reitnouer and that's how I've used them. I was always worried they would slide forward

You know how someone always makes a post about the pros and cons of flatbedding, or 'is it worth it', trying to spark some debate between the Cool Kids and the doorslammer crowd? This thread here is one of those reasons why I personally like the job. Plus we get to see all kinds of cool pictures.
Lepton1, Freightlinerbob, cnsper and 1 other person Thank this.
