I don't carry even though if I did, I don't think it would help in the shoot first mentality of many who pray on people. However getting the right information is key in dealing with the laws of this country. so I recommend http://www.handgunlaw.us/ as one source.

A little confused by your post? are you saying it's against the law to carry in a CMV? if so? please post where to find this, or did this change sense the start of the year?

    It's not.

The carrier however may have a policy against it though, as previously stated.

My company does. There are signs up at our terminal saying "no guns". Now, it takes an act of Congress to get a carry permit in MD, but since they operate in "shall issue" states, it's standard procedure at all terminals.

That's a good site for keeping up with the latest changes, since reciprocity agreements seem to getting dropped and added a lot lately. It depends on the AG of the respective state.

PA recently cut off NR permits from Utah and Florida thanks to THIER Attorney General, who hopefull will NOT win re-election. That decision was directly aimed at the "may issue" states, MD, NJ, and NY.

Really, the best thing is to contact the State Police of whichever states you'll be travelling through, or check their websites.

I carry a knife on my belt. A kabar to be exact. Guns are near worthless in a typical street crime scenario.

I can tell you that if you go on a company's property that has no gun signs you need to respect them for your own sake. Some places will throw you out, refuse your load, and bar you from the property. Try explaining that to your DM.

With the fact firmly in your mind that if you beleive this to be true, the 12 people that you are intrusting your life to are 12 people not smart enough to get out of jury duty, you go right ahead and keep thinking that.

That doesn't even remotely make sense. In court defending a legal action is ALWAYS better than being dead!

Just out of curiosity, how many companies have patted you down upon entry? People can do whatever they want, it's their choice, but the operative word here is concealed.

Beg to differ , in a close-up physical confrontation a firearm is just as useful and even more deadly in the hands of someone trained in its use, not trying to argue , just saying.

As far as the NO GUNS signs go , I don't think a person that chooses to carry is gonna walk in and tell everyone that he is. It's not possible for them to throw you out , refuse your load , or , bar you from the property if they have no idea you have a firearm.
