Thanks for info. I've been tossing the idea of going with Schneider for a while. Looking to land something regional so I can make decent money, but still have family time. I'm getting to old to be luggin kegs around.

I'm in Northeast Pa so it's a big trucking hub in my area.

.
Oh yes there's soo much freaking fright here.
I'm in the area right now myself.
I know places like ABF are hiring which is union LTL.
They get paid for everything they do, pension, free family health care and you actually get home.
$70-80K+ per year from what I've seen.
If I wanted to be home a lot on Schneider choice. IL, OH, or PA is the place to be.
I've spent more time in PA than any other state... soo much freight and lots of high paying short loads in the area.Dodgeman Thanks this. -
I'm in south east PA, near allentown.
Sent an application in to Schnieder on Friday.
Hopefully they will get back to me so I'll have a job lined up for when I graduate CDL school in 3 weeks.
Already got an email from them requesting more info and asking to call them

Sounds good!! I'll be back at it next week... gonna do 6 months and see if I still have the desire, been lacking lately to be honest, family health issues and all... I'll let you know how it goes!!!
Keep up the good work!!!T_TRUCKER. Thanks this. -
im very happy with my decision to come here, run how i want to run anf where and take time off whenever i want, in my opinion for anyone doing OTR it doesn't get much better, i added up all my numbers from last week, and i stayed south/southeast then went to IL, MO, then to KY, did just over 3400 miles at a overall average of 1.47 a mile, my take home this week should be over 2500, not including taxes but that is my net, my gross is just over 5k. Its been tricky for me to time all my loads right, and give myself just enough time between, but as the weeks go on im getting way more comfortable and getting into a nice pattern. Im taking a few days off in knoxville, probably leave on the 4th after i get a 34 in, then I'll be heading to the northeast. I like to run hard some weeks but its always smarter to run less and make more. I've been out of the northeast for about a month and still been doing great money wise, but its more miles to stay in the midwest/southeast. Hope everyone is havin a good day! Be safe

However it was still a learning curve to figure out booking the right loads going to good lanes, and timing myself good. It was fun though, im still figuring things out but I've gotten alot further then when i started.
