I've been considering this company and would like to hear what the scoop is from drivers or former drivers. What is their weekly mileage their website says .42cpm but how many miles we talkin, what's average weekly pay like, how about medical premiums, home time...... whatever you fellow drivers know lay it on. Sure we all could call the recruiter but we all actually want to know the real deal. Thanks

My bad !!Skid Mark Thanks this. -
I've been with Caledonia since 2008,I run midwest regional and LOVE it! I agree with what Tall Mike had to say, they have excellent equipment, great customer base, good customers, good office staff, great maintenance department, great rider program, all around great company. .42cpm plus up to.03cpm quarterly bonus that is not hard to obtain if you pay attention keep your nose clean, and do your job. This first quarter I ran 34,000 paid miles. I'm at 29,500 for pay on my last pay stub May 30. That did include two weeks vacation. Hope that gives you an idea on things. 2800-3000 miles is not hard to do.Truck's are governed at 68mph. I'm in a 2014 Kenworth and others are in Peterbuilt. The only negative I can come up with is the health insurance is extremely expensive for a family, I think for employee only it's reasonable, but for family it's high. If you like to run, and be left alone I'd highly recommend coming on over.

I'm not real sure about the details on orientation and pay? I believe it's two days? Not real intense, just watch videos, get drug test and physical test, I think they have you climb a ladder several times simulating climbing a tanker ladder, crank dollies, I think another guy said something about having to walk a ways? I'm sure they pay atleast 100.00 a day for orientation, but I don't know for sure. I don't know for sure what Caledonia's turn over rate is, but if I was to guess it's lower then most, but I'm sure there are some it don't work out for. They seem to be growing as well. The great thing about food grade tanker is there isn't really a lot of lean times, because everyone has to eat and so we stay pretty busy. Hope that answers your questions. Oh, I almost forgot, your time off is usually every other weekend off, unless your running regional, then your through the house every weekend, but it's usually pretty short.
Skid Mark Thanks this. -
