2016 freightliner issues

When was the fuel filter changed last? My guess it's still the original from the manufacturer. When I had the original one taken out of my 2015 it was full of metal debri from manufacturing (See picks below)

 

Sounds similar to when I got bad fuel (water in fuel) once with '15.

Bottle of Power Clean & new filter got us going again.

 

And, somehow I'm getting 9mpg on paper (lifetime) & climbing as she breaks in........Go figure!

Ah........maybe that'll change if I ever stop driving this empty trailer all over the country and actually start loading it! LOL!

Got issued a 16 on sat, none of those so far, just a winshield wiper flying off the wiper arm during a rain storm. Here's to hoping nothing more serious.

 

I did a pm at 25000 on mine. Wanted the crate oil out of it and the filters changed out. Don't really trust that the highest quality oil and filters were installed when it was manufactured in Mexico.

 

Yeah, I've been in two trucks that had power issues. They were ok for the fist 30-40k miles then started getting worse after that. Some days they would run ok, or would be running ok untill you shut the truck off, then they would run bad for the rest of the day. It slowly progressed to running bad all the time.

I've been to various shops with no luck. There are no codes so they can't tell me what's wrong...

Sometimes when they change parameters on the truck it will run good again but only for a few hours. It will run quiet and have the power it should and slowly progresses to a loud ratty sounding gutless wonder.
