Cassens is a very good company! You might find others as good, but you probably won't beat the money and benefits at Cassens. My best advice would be to listen all you can in training and don't ever rush or take short cuts. Just when you think you will never get good(fast) at loading, you will find a routine that works for you and then you will start picking up the pace. The money will come eventually so don't rush it! I started hailing cars a little over 3 years ago after 25 years of trucking and it's the best job I have ever had, but it was tough at first.

Yes, carhaul has by far the steepest learning curve I've ever found in trucking. Don't get frustrated early on.

Congrats as this may be your last job. Looks like your going to be a car hauler! Don't get overwhelmed the first day as it can be at first. Wear shorts, light shirt and the best pair of tennis shoes you can buy to training. Also keep a rain suit close by as you will train in the rain and heat.

Don't listen to Banker, it's always sunny with a nice breeze in auto haul, oh yeah, almost forgot, we get to drive on glass smooth roads and every overhang and tree limb is 15' off the ground.

    I kid, I kid.

Two best things you can have with you are some common sense, and a good sense of humor.

Kansas I was just preparing him for the times he can't find a lumper. I always use one to load and unload my rig now if it's not 72 with a cool breeze blowing!
