Conway Truckload or Norbert Detressangle (formerly Jacobson Companies)

I will let ya know what my experience is after I start. I couldn't find nothing really wrong with them till a few drivers. I know they can't work ya that hard because they are on elogs. I'm worried about not getting enough work.

 

I know some drivers that hauled cigarettes out of Jacobsons Goodlettsville terminal and they all said they made good money as company drivers. That terminal may not even be open now.They were all laid off from another company that went bankrupt.

 

A&R Logistics in Decatur, AL sometimes hires 0/0's. Don't need hazmat or tanker endorsements because they haul plastic pellets. They're in Southern California also. Company drivers make about $70K there.

 

When jackobson was in goodlettsville. The drivers were making 14.50hr. The starting pay now is 16hr. Thats not very good money, when your hauling 1-3 million dollars worth of tobacco.

 

They have a good reputation in the freight division. LTL division seems to have high turnover.

They have both recently been acquired by XPO Logistics. ..so big changes might be coming...bad to go to work for a company during a merger
