The Petro in York, NE. Finally got out of Denver with a can load that is t-calling in IGH. Then a MOM load to Grove City, 30 miles form home on Monday. Was having a nice talk with our ECT and explaining to him that for some reason when it is time to go home to Ohio, Columbus, it is such a hassle. They always want to give me a load that will deliver from 150 to 200 miles from home, like a pplan last night. DH 200 miles today for a live load and then deliver outside Toledo, and no del appointment, then about 180 miles home, so ECT looks at the board and asks how far from Grover City. Bam, preplanned. One think about this ECT in IGH, he can plan loads where my DM can not. Then on top of that I am already stacked coming out of the house if nothing happens. Pick up around Columbus and go to GA, drop there and reload going to Laredo for the 15th. Again this ECT. Glad that he works the Friday through Monday shift. When needed the most.

I have a question regard O/O's or L/O's that are running Command loads. The owner of my truck at ACME still owns a truck that is leased to Swift, but he had never heard of the Command brokerage. Is that only available for a select few O/O's, or is it open to any O/O? If it is available for his Swift truck, then how does he get his driver involved with getting Command loads?

I'm at LG Electronics in Ft. Worth, TX.

I was sent a trailer solution, which was a waste of time.
It is the same place, but by a different name.
So I come in and get assigned an mt by security, hook up and call for dispatch.
It was then that I noticed, hey, I'm picking up at the exact same address.
So I drop the mt and go back to security for my load. They got a good laugh.
When I got to the trailer it was still empty, so I'm waiting for it to be loaded. My light just turned red.
My pick up wasn't until 1100 and I was here at 0900 for the mt, so I am a bit early for the load.

They should have just dispatched me bobtail.

    Edit:
The 1100 pick up time was accurate. They finished loading at 1045.
A nice light 12k load, headed for 3 stops in TN Monday morning.
Also a high val load, so I had to drive 200 miles before stopping. Not a big deal this time because my morning coffee was all worked out of me before I left the shipper.

I guess that means I also shouldn't mention where I ended up tonight.

The Command load board has about 400 owners but they are slowly adding more . Contact brian_dudley@swifttrans.com to get on the list . I've heard its a very long list .

Here at the IGH. It was so nice to deal with ECT here. T-called my load and told me to just BT to MOM in the morning since they have been shuttling mt trailers there most of the day so now do not have to hunt one down. As of right now I still have my 2 stacked loads coming out of the house. Already know that when come out of the house that already have 1600 miles come Monday and the ECT here says that he will have me a nice one out of Laredo for me on Monday. We also had a nice talk regarding my DM. He will not plan on loads because of a fear of getting his pee pee slapped. Was also told that he should stop telling drivers about a nice load that he can hook them up with when he then just asks the planners and then nothing happens. Also not say that my miles are a priority if he really will not do anything to help. So now I know, get a hold of ECT here on the weekends when I know I am going to be in certain area and he will hook me up like when I got the plan to come here and he hooked me up and there are many company trucks sitting.

At the Hook in eastern KY on 64. Spending the next couple weeks digging out of a hole. I took a three day home time and got a whopping 980mi coming back out of the house on a Thursday!!

Starting to question my decision making abilities.

Better this week already, but I'm looking at being barely positive this next week. Ugh.

On a light feather load thru the mtns so that helps some. But then this is what I expected when I signed on the line.

Joke?: Q: How do you visually tell the difference between an owner and a company driver?

A: The owner's the one with holes in their clothes.

At the J in Ogden, UT. I drop at Kimberly Clark in the morning then pick up a Costco 3-stopper (from KC) headed to San Diego. Plus 1 originally wanted me to drop by today @ 1100 then shortened it to 0915 after the load was 8 hours late getting to Denver.Since I had already determined that I had til 06/08 @ 2359 to get it here and snagged the load for tomorrow I decided to play it smart and do it all in 1 trip to KC.
