I personally averaged about .40/mi at the end of the year. Gross divided by miles, but I stayed out.

Crazy that this thread is still kickin'.

So are you still getting decent mileage? I prefer southeast regional but do you make more money otr? Is otr a minimum of two weeks out? I ask because I would like to see my daughter more than once a month...I just cant be out for three weeks at a time all the time.

I'm no longer there. I moved to Oregon (there's some posts in here somewhere) where I'm now hauling fuel.

If you wanna be OTR and make some good money you're gonna have to stay out longer unfortunately. I took most of my home time in SoCal so I was mostly running WI-CA back and forth.

Cool cool, but you do recommend them for a starter company? Any issues?

Definitely recommend. Winter could be slow but it is more or less for everyone.

Also had a great dispatcher. That was huge. He's still there but he does NE regional and some OTR guys.

Hey Weeble, you familiar if NE Regional weekends off is generally Friday night to Monday morning or just a reset?

Not too familiar with it because I didn't do it, but there are some that just did a reset and there would be some that would do the Monday through Friday but those were some of the senior guys.

Since I left, they have an hourly gig in the NE. No clue how much it pays or where you run but it is there.

You'll be pulling water. I can guarantee that.

Well it's been almost a couple years, thought I'd post a quick update...

Still love Wolding as a company, good folks, never tried to screw me, fix problems when I have an issue. (truck breakdowns, breakdown pay, truck maintenance, complaints about miles, etc.)

Pay at a year was .35, then they jumped a couple cents for those at a year or more. So it's .37/mile, goes up penny a year. Actually I look at it at 42.5/mile, because I always hit the .01 safety and .045 mileage bonus. So at 2 years soon, I'll be at 43.5 after bonuses.

I run 2500-3500 week, I shoot for 3000 avg. Some guys drive more, some less, company takes into account your prefs, so if you're one of those 650/day crazies who take a 10 and run, you could do that. Not me, I like 500-ish/day, that's about what I end up with avg.

Trucks governed at 63, but word is they're raising them to 65 as they get them through the shop for regular maintenance. Which is every few months or so.

All van, couple of reefers. All Cascadias, they've been getting a lot of new trucks in lately, lots of them automatics.

Am still in Florida, so if you're looking at HOW, it can be tough to get home due to the freight down here. I get home every few weeks, but you can get home every 2 if you don't mind the drop in miles. North Florida probably not so bad, but I'm in Tampa.

We run all 48. I don't run any NE, but do run out west occasionally. Depends on where you live and what you want to run.

What else? .... Great company, problems I have are industry problems and practices not specific to Wolding. pay structure, conditions, etc.

Hi. I'm a new driver with 1 year of OTR experience at a carrier that runs east of I35. I'm looking for a carrier where I can run all 48. I want to get out west often.

    Does that sound like HOW?
