I had one finally stick out to me this morning at the fuel island when parked next to a "traditional" cascadia. First I noticed the mesh side intake, then I could visually see the length differences in the hoods. Is this short nose an indication of a small motor option? Like a dd13 exclusive? Or is this part of some lightweight efficiency package?

I think its a lightweight/small engine setup. Prime runs a lot of these with small bunks on them for their "lightweight" fleet.

Yeah Prime has a bunch of them usually have DD13s.
    Not the DD15.

You do know, don't you, that you can get 120 BBC and 112 BBC lengths when you order? Always has been that way with the Cascadia, Columbia, etc. Check any manufacturer spec sheets on trucks and a lot of them have variable hood length options based on BBC length.
