lol yeah that was the big sigh of relief when she said deadhead right back to advance. We usually get 4-5 weeks away from there before we get sent back up for that rotation unless you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was just there 2 weeks ago.

But the week is young no telling what else I get. They're trying to work out getting me to my new truck so I'm thinking maybe randleman to baraboo Monday but we'll see. I'd rather they got it down here so I don't lose half a day getting moved out of one and into the other and getting the radio swapped out by the shop. I'll have about 6hrs left when I get back Monday but it'll be midday so I'll see what happens.

Well this was 3100 miles and 6 d/h, not bad, they did have me out in the Midwest-way out there was wondering if they were going to get me home, they did--had about 32 mins left on the week. Did have to wait in FT Smith for an empty to show up 2.5 hrs, then a Pepsi backhaul, that was 3,000 pounds over gross,

Left out on Monday about 1030 am, and returned today about 1530.

Got a phone call from planners, on Friday after noon, gave me a choice of what I wanted to do, that was nice, been happening a lot lately, that is a nice touch for a change.

Decided to do a water pickup that I haven't done before, but was also warned to pack a lunch for it, if I arrive after 0700----LOL, I am packing a lunch!

FM--on that furniture problem, had a rash of that, happened to myself last year, not fun at all in 98 degree heat, etc. I hope they paid u for that, my rule of thumb is 15$ per trailer, even if it only had 1 piece on it, and they have agreed before in the past to do it, just make sure u right down the name of the person who auth it, LOL u know what can happen if u don't---

Running the back way as I call it to and from Ecru to Advance via 72/24 is a nice way of doing it to avoid Atlanta crap shoot, about 30 miles longer roughly and adds a little time but in my book well worth it. U can also cut a little more time and miles by taking MS-30 threw the woods from 45 to 72 cuts that upper corner off. Lets u out just before the scale house on 72.

Going south to Fl taking runs in there, I have been taking a right at the Advance gate down to 64, then left to 74 and beating feet to 1 then 52 to Florence-95 South, has been working real well adds 8 miles and 15 mins, but a nice change from I-77 Charlotte and Columbia mess.

You see the message about ecru taking the west Texas and nm lanes from Colton? I'm figuring those guys will be running most of that stuff since they can get out and back and we will be in ecru more running the closer in east tx, ok and ar stuff. May keep us advance guys out of Leesport so much lol

Yep---LOL just means I have a better chance of running more in the mid-west, I'll do that any day---LOL

Also heard of a message that was sent to only the Brandon drivers about not driving threw the neighborhood, the short cut road straight out from the warehouse there, the new truck restricted signs up there now, don't ask me why they did not send it to all advance drivers--who knows--LOL

I didn't get that one but I don't go that way anyway. I usually come in from the west and exit east. Works out pretty good. I came in through the nieghborhood once with only 3 minutes left on the clock just to not go the longer way but didn't like the right turn coming in. There were already signs up coming in that way so just never did it again.

Here is numbers from some of my payroll, 19 pay periods this year so far (not full weeks, just pay periods) average has been Gross $1442.91 weekly--not bad !

Avg per mile pay last week was 43.56 per mile pay, all inclusive. Would like to see it bumped up another 2 cents a mile :)

Last year same amount of time span, 19 pay periods, average was $1314.47 weekly that wasn't bad either!

And home mostly on the weekends---Day time driving---an increase of $128.44 gross---weekly this year.

managed to salvage a pretty good week even though as late as Thursday it wasn't looking like it and was out a full 7 days.

    3074 and 7 d/h.

Tuesday was a trying day. I burned 10:47 on the clock and had a whole 132 miles to show for the day. got 62 miles out of advance Monday to live unload at adams beverages in charlotte to start Tuesday with. one of those great places that want it yesterday and then tie you up for hours unloading and have huge signs plastered all over the walls that say 'once unloaded you must leave our property IMMEDIATELY' lol I've delivered there many times at the previous carrier and tested that once. it was 4 minutes from the time I closed the doors until the guy came rapping at my door telling me I was done I needed to go NOW. 3hrs to unload.

got a live out of concord to pell city. got loaded quick and walked around to the back to strap everything in and.....ugh......those bulk liquid containers. for any newbies reading this or those who haven't kept up with the rules change last year any bulk liquid container over 119 gallons and load aggregate of 1000 gallons or more requires a tank endorsement. even in a van. I've got haz but not tank and had 11 of them on there. too many under the reg so no go.

called dispatch to explain the problem. they aren't buying it. clueless. had to sit on hold for 30 minutes until they track down Don so I can explain to him to confirm I was correct about the regs. why they couldn't just ask him is beyond me but whatever. tell Don about it and he confirms I'm right and I can't run it. closest guy to me with a tank endorsement is in advance getting service. sit and wait another 2.5 for him to get to me to swap and get the next one.

live in Spartanburg to live in Memphis. 1400 apt and it's already 1430 when I depart concord. gave them a 1600 eta and I'm almost there at 1530 and linda calls to confirm my eta and then tells me they stop loading at 1500 lol just one of those days. wait for them to check to see if they'll wait on me and of course BASF being the good union shop they are they aren't waiting come back tomorrow. I'd just passed the last place to stop in cowpens so had to turn around and go back and shut it down for the day. at least I didn't have to ask for the layover she offered it up due to the fact none of the screw-ups were my fault and got an attaboy for knowing the regs on the previous load.

getting ready to fire up the bike and head down to charlotte for the race. planned out to Brandon for a Tuesday 1800 drop. should get my truck end of week shop manager says there's 2 guys for advance in orientation coming week so I guess one of them is going to bring it down
