Are there symptoms to look for that point toward your turbo going out so you know for sure and don't have a mechanic just throwing parts at your truck? Can you tell from the intake manifold pressure gauge not reading high when you push down on the pedal, etc? Just wondering what to look for to know for sure.

Dashboard shows everything fine. Truck doesn't go higher than 30 mph. Standing overnight I found spot of oil on the ground .When driving I hear strange noise under the hood.
-
Wait.... Are you the one driving the truck?
-
what year truck. what motor?
-
No, I am the owner, but my driver - operator. I am on the phone with him and mechanics for past two days. Does it change anything?
-
Yeah we would know you are the one looking at the truck. Rather than your drivers eyes.mhyn Thanks this.

When my turbo went, I also had no power. Had to much backpressure and bent the shaft, fins were scraping the side of the housing which made a high pitch squealing.
It may be his turbo. Just remove the inlet air and have them look inside.
