Yeah, but the company driver doesn't have truck payments/maintenance to worry about. I'm just preparing myself for the worst because eventually it will be coming. This artificial economy we have right now will crash.

Come on...there not bragging...there giving us real life I applaud them 10 fold. Its not that hard to look up the mega carriers that are publicly traded, they tell you exactly what it cost them to operate, they tell you exactly how much they make per driver. Ever meet Jack Welch from GE, read his books he wants everyone to be successful....Look at Bill Gates he gave away 95 percent of his money...I could go on and on look at Aronald Palmer everyone thinks he made his money golfing...he made way way more starting what is the golf network on TV. Yes there is alot of problems in the trucking industry bad leases, bad drivers, horrid truckstops, etc etc... Life is what you make of it...and I look forward to being in there ranks soon.

J_D_Boss_Hawg, dieselfuelonly and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
I'm going to chime in again....
FW, I said right in my post that I wasn't knocking you...
And I never said anything about you posting your numbers, hell I did the same thing many times as you mentioned...
I simply wanted to point out some of the negatives of being on Choice. Everyone posts the good, and you have done a great job of posting some of the bad as well...
That's it. And my CPM per mile has come down in the last two months, just like everyone else is saying...
But I still love Choice. And it's still the best job I can do where I live....
Roll on....Dominick253, TennMan and freightwipper Thank this. -
You can do double that+ working a 7 day week here staying in the good areas even after your big ol flease payment, insurance, tags maintenance account and you paying fuel.
I'd post screenshots but then there'd be another 10+ pages of my codrivers blasting me lol.
It's about managing your time off vs working.
Crash the numbers around and you'll see it's still way better than being a company OTR driver.
If you wanna go home every weekend and take cheap freight you'll go broke real quick though.TennMan Thanks this. -
Not much to add, you hit the nail on the head. Yes SNI is pimping us on the fuel discount. I been here 4 yrs and the rates been the same. The detention pay is a joke. I try to run the same loads, that way I know they want be canceled. To be honest I could not survive, if I leased a truck through SNI. Reason being I don't run the north east, FL, or out west. My option would be limited. -
Since the start of this thread I've listed many many negatives and have continued to throughout.
Even today Schneider tried to get me do a free labor empty trailer move for them.. lol nope not happening.
I played chess with my workflow to escape getting out of that one lmao. -
Dominick253 and TennMan Thank this.

Well i have stayed out of the northeast, I haven't been in Almost 2 months and im doing great, after this monday i will have done 2,863 miles total, average of 1.68 and a total gross of right below 4,900. and that is running OH, IN, GA, and TX. Week before last was about the same lanes, and i grossed over 5k, but i ran 3400 miles and my avaerage that week was 1.47 i beleive, i have it all in my note book but im too lazy to move. Point is I haven't been near the NE im through the house atleast once a week if not once then every other. The program has been working great for me, and im happy hear. Doesn't mean the next person is going to have the same numbers thats just the way it is. Some people have no business running a buisness. My experience so far has been good, im happy and im getting by, so thats all that matters to me. Also i read from someone on this thread that other ICs dont wave, look, or talk to you, whats up with that? I wave to other SNI drivers in general more company guys wave back then IC lol, whatever it doesn't bother me any. I can play the ***hole game too, whatever works.

LOL, I picked up at TSC in Massillon, OH this morning. First off, the customer remarks on the QualComm state "DO NOT DRIVE ON THE GRASS!!!!!!!!!!! Drive on pavement or gravel only". So I wake and and hear the employees complaining about how a driver drove right through the grass and that "grass is green, pavement isn't". I asked them who did it and they go "SCHNEIDER!". I go on to tell him the notes specifically state not to drive on the grass and he just shakes his head and laughs. Looked at the grass and the moron literally drove straight through the grass to save about 25 feet of drive distance.
Then start talking to another company driver while Johnny ###### IC in a EVO Cascadia pulls up, hooks right up to his trailer and pulls off totally disregarding both of us. Just that straight ahead "I'm a bad mofo" look on his face. Yeah, some of these IC's are pathetic LOLmaurice80, xlsdraw, freightwipper and 2 others Thank this.
