I use to drive for swift and they have there own insurance so does knight and cr. England how do you think they an afford to hire people with no experience and get there licence if you own it insurance u don't have sky high rates for all thoes new divers each truck has a minimum million dollar liability insurance it's easier to get a new truck cause they just sell the trucks for more than what they bought them for if they have been wrecked
Industry stuck on the letters OTR... but why?

My cousin is a retired cop who delivers new buses out of a place near the Twin Cities. Not sure what the name is but they shouldn't be hard to find and I could ask him if you want. He started out with a tour bus company and found it was mostly waiting around.....I don't know if the place he works now really cares about ordinary OTR experience, I'm guessing it's more about trusting you to do the job without screwing up.

as I stated before no one is really self insured
that has been confirmed to me by safety people in 3 different mega companies
but for practical purposes on a daily basis they are
let a couple fatalities enter the picture and see how self insured they really areDinomite Thanks this. -
