Well one off the worst things happened, my Brother passed away at a T/A truck stop, 05-19-2015, he just got there fueled up picked up some milk, parked the rig, then must of had a massive heart attack, he was able to park the rig, set the brakes-and then it got him, they found him the next morning-engine still running, and he was slumped over the steering wheel, I just got back from dealing with his stuff, moving it from Fl-to-ME, first week back behind the wheel a little tuff, I'll tell ya.
He had no family, just me down here, it's tuff--miss the guy--
That's why I have been quiet---
I will give out some trip info Sunday.

Well last week was a challenge, coming back after the stuff I had to deal with, I don't have to tell ya, my wife has put some pressure on me to get out of it.
Anyways- last week was a quiet start back out-2874 pay miles,
here's my math==
2874 x .385=1,106.49
+6 d/h fees=180.00 total=1286.49
-20% 401K=1029.19
-10.48 dental + vision=1018.71
-18.40% taxes= 831.26
Advance dropped the ball on the home loads for all the Brandon drivers, most were 4-8 hrs behind the finish time in the system for pick up.
I have been going the back way to Brandon, it adds about 18 miles, but not being stuck in the I-77 POO--and I 26 stuff, priceless---LOL -
Well last week was a little weak, had a short week, had a lot of drilling and filling, had 3 teeth worked on, root canal, filling, and 2 crowns, my dental INS, was shot the fist visit=LOL
Had one sitting were I was in the chair for 4.5 hrs, that was after the root canal, the day before, had to call it, could not handle any-more grinding, was starting to shake. Went back again this week Saturday morning, for more gum cutting and grinding. Still have to go back one more time, to pull off the temps (2 crowns) and put the permanent ones in place-o joy---LOL
Had to micro manage the people in Arcadia, to make sure that I was able to get back to the Appt that I had, I talked to them about a month ago to make sure they knew, and we were all on the same page but they forgot -----even with it being in the system under the notes.
Did 2500 miles in 5 days and 4 d/h fees, Seen that Advance was having problems with the Fl loads being done on time again.
Next week will be normal = I hope-----LOL -
Anyone know anything about the Leesport PA terminal?
I've got 5 years with a HHG & Padwrap outfit. I left them for a better paycheck and less lifting but it didn't work out. I hear laborers complain about them all the time ("well I used to work for Ashley but they suck.") Now, I don't know if they suck because they're laborers, they no longer work there, or the working conditions are bad. I've loaded my own truck many times and it's better to be the guy with the card that lets him sit up front than sweat in the back.
Also I hear their HR (Leesport only or is it company wide?) tends to "loose" applications.
They're always looking, get hundreds of inquiries per week and never seem to have any interviews.
AshleyDriver, sorry to hear about your brother. -

not sure why I got unsubscribed from the thread just figured nobody was posting quiet as it had been lately.
june came in decent but a little off the pace from the year average so far.
12384 which is about 1000 off the pace for the month but did bump it back up to 3110 and 3248 last 2 weeks.
30 loads of which 11 were live on one end or other which also is above the average.
have had some real issues with the CHR backhauls. super long waits, both to get the load and then once I get there. wrong pickup numbers or get there and the load was already picked up and another long wait to get a different pickup number or a different load. we're a better company than having to deal with 1.10-1.20 CHR loads. instead of taking away our management drops and no longer compensating for these things they should sell our above average service to a better class of broker than CHR, coyote and JB. instead of taking the easy way out they should be building relationships with reputable brokers than the bottom feeder bunch.
we're back to the same old song of no plan for Monday when I get in as well. they did really good for a long time but now I'm sitting doing nothing till 9am Monday before I can even call in and get someone who has the authority to make a decision. 5 out of the last 6 week wasted half my day before I even get away from the house
on the plus side, got my new truck. I'm liking the KW so far. much more room inside than the Volvo but not the most ideal and efficient layout. still getting settled in and finding a place for everything that I'm happy with. I really like actually having a place to put the microwave now instead of having to stow it under the table and get it out every day like I used to. the tv mount is nice too as is the larger fridge. overall I like it. fuel mileage on it is coming in much better than the Volvo so far. sure don't whip the KW around and stuff it in some of the holes I used to with the Volvo though lol setup take a little more thought and a lot more room now. although I didn't get the galaxy in that tiny radio hole, I did get it in there.....it's just a little unconventional where I put it. but it works, is secure and I can reach all the controls
took the wife out week before this last one. she loves to go and we had a good week. got to see classic_150 up in arcadia that week for a few minutes.
dealing with a bunch of trees down at the house today. had some huge storms here earlier in the week. lost a couple of 30-40ft cedars I had on my back fence line. one of them fell across my neighbor's fence and on his building. destroyed the fence not sure about his building yet too much tree on it to tell about the outside but from the inside it looks okay. my big bradford pear was split in half and lost half of it and a bunch of other smaller stuff. the one half-dead one in the front yard that should have come down didn't lose a twig. we were lucky. one street over was major. several houses will probably be a total loss. every other or 3rd one has a blue tarp roof on it. huge old growth trees that were proud and tall are now in heaps on the road waiting for pickup. one thing I noticed that was really bizarre is of the trees that didn't fall and were only damaged, almost ALL of them were split in half right down the middle and lost the left side facing the road. it's rained so much I can't get anyone in here until next week to take care of the big cedar over the fence and building the yard is so wet he'd destroy it getting the tractor back there.
