Small mom and pop carriers that can't or don't plan for the slow times might be going under. But well run companies will still be here for when things pick back up.

North East work well,today I book a load for Monday pick up from WV to NJ Allentown area hi has 489 miles for 2000$.So stay in that area OH,IN,VA,NJ,PA.MD.

Then don't, explain to them honestly the situation. Tell them to wait and you will get them a better paying load, they must be patient during the downtimes. It is easy to make money when everything is banging, much harder when it is not. You must become more picky on your customer base and rates to help defray the cost of not moving.
