My Schneider Adventure

Life is good.
Been running a little too hard lately, i gotta quit that and run smarter, takin some much needed time off this week or the following, i may linger around the NE and play in traffic one more week.

 

So today is probably the worst day i have ever had, to make a long story short i was hit by a straight truck on the toll before going over the GW bridge, ran into the side of my truck, took my bumper off, put huge scrapes and scratches all down the front fender and messed my mirrors up. I couldn't believe that happend, it felt like a nightmare and still does, im kicking myself big time for not having a dashcam to prove 100% it was his fault, but instead it was a "no fault" so I've been on the phone with sni all morning and im still not 100% certain that my insurance is going to cover this PLUS pay for down time. Im looking at atleast 7k in repairs plus down time. Im really hoping that insurance does cover this, I'll say though, everyone I've delt with on the schneider side has been so incredibly nice and helpful, especially my ICA. Wellll that's all for now, I've had enough for one day!

 

Get a dashcam!!!! I am seriously regreting it so bad, it would have shown everything. Funny thing is, the guy that does this stops right after hes done hitting me, doesn't speak good english and says "ohh my truck is fine, i must go" im not a religious person, but I think god must have been with me because i was so close from knocking this guy out and not thinking twice about it, but that wouldn't have gotten me anywhere but to be sitting in jail in NJ.

Anyway....the insurance will cover everything but the 100.00 deductible, and she tells me that i may even get that back, so the only thing that really sucks about this is driving this truck that looks the way it does right now, im hoping no serious damage was done beside cosmetic. Im very impressed with how sni has helped me today, my ICA got all my app times changed so I didn't lose out on 2 loads i had gotten, and was very nice about it. My experience in the past with getting load app changed has never been easy, and its been nice with how helpful everyone has been. Ehhhhh long ****** day....I've been going since 1:45am, this all happened at 4:45am, im happy that its going to be covered, it could have been alot worse!! Anyone reading this that doesn't have a dashcam....get one, it will be the BEST 100.00 bucks you ever spend. Stay safe everyone

 

Ah man, it feels worse then that, its so messed up looking. Im taking it to FL my dad has a freind that has a body shop, he got hit while parked at a truck stop overnight and had similar damage done to his truck. Im hoping the whole process won't take long and she will look brand new again
