Got a two dropper from Gastonia NC to Middletown and Southington Connecticut from Wix Filters. Currently at a rest area 141 miles away in Northern NJ on I 287. Will be leaving at 5 am for a 9'am.appointment. I stopped.a little short but was worried about finding parking after 8pm and later and I had a crushing headache. My second appointment is a 1-5 pm window. Then a backhaul towards the house. Glad to be out of the heat in Charlotte. Didn't even run the epu last night. It was 66. This will do.

Got both drops done before lunch time and crawled 100 miles to Palisades Park NJ to pickup 30000 lbs of wastebaskets. Made it by six minutes before receiving closed. Would have had to spend the weekend in NJ had I not made it. Ran out of time in Thomas Edisons service plaza on the turnpike. Will drop and hook at the customer in Henderson NC tomorrow then head for the house. I think my fleet leader is impressed.

Left NJ at 0245 this morning. Used split sleeper. Got there to Henderson NC around 2pm. Finding the empty killed me. Couldnt make it home to Plymouth before my 14 ran out so I dropped the truck off at our Rocky Mount dropyard to avoid a violation. Eventually, I will be parking there anyway, when they get a bigger place. Jungho came and got me, went to dinner and came home. Battery is dying, and so am I. Long day, nite nite.

I don't buy straps. It's not my freight. Good luck with your reimbursement. Florida is a major pain most times. Back hauls are thin for us there.

Yeah, it was a PITA! 27 hour wait to get loaded and got the wrong straps, I like the load locks better and a local driver delivered that load. What could I have done? Refused the load? Not on my first week on the job. I EXPECT to be reimbursed.

Lol....I feel your pain. The problem you have is if you buy straps you have leave them with the load because AB is not gonna let you break a sael to get them back. Unless your doing a live unload at the receiver. I bought straps one time. It took 3 weeks to get paid back. So I don't do it now. And I hate AB loads anyway so if I see it come up I reply No Straps. And they give it to someone else which is fine with me. It usually works out to my benefit anyway. This problem could be solved by asking AB to return the straps to the guard house. I am not buying straps for YOUR freight! Sorry. I ask for straps when I'm on the yard. If they don't have any that's not my problem. If you want me to have them then make sure you have them to give!

Came back out of the house yesterday afternoon for a 300 mile run from Rocky Mount to Turkey NC. Loaded 43 k of canned veggies to Sysco Foods of Concord. Dropped and hooked before midnight and drove 18 miles to the our Charlotte dropyard and went to sleep. Time to find out what's next.

I ordered pizza delivered to the Charlotte yard. I think it was Papa Johns. Their iPhone app will geolocate and find you the closest store. Dominos I have to Google and then call.

I've not heard one good thing about that Pilot on Statesville Ave and wouldn't sleep there without seat-belting the doors shut.

Thx Ladyfire. I figured as much. Been running overnights the last few nights. Tough on the circadium rhythm, but easy to find parking during the day. My first complete week netted 3435 paid miles. Wow! I was thinking 3100. No per diem. Got taxed heavily. 1500 paycheck turns in just under 1100 dollars.

Gump, we have epus. Battery powered. Works well when its not too hot. Truck will idle when temp is below 55 or anove 75. CT allows idle 10'percent of the time. When I had a reset in Vero Beach two weeks ago, I idled 30 of 38 hours with the epu handling the last 8 hours. No one said boo to me. You are forbidden to idle while on the main Claremont yard.
