ok so the 22nd finally got the first day of road training done. Was a good day for me lol. other drivers in the vehicle couldn't get the h pattern or remember the splitter and realize there is no need to push the clutch all the way down to shift but hopefully for them they will get it tomorrow and not rip the tranny out like they almost did several times today. note for new drivers 4 wheelers do not care about a truck except the fact its in their way so be patient no they arent gonna pull your hair which should be an automatic if they gonna rider your butt like that cause they dont care. so be safe and always think they are gonna do the stupidest thing possible cause odds are they will. As far as shifting i learned more watching videos online my 2 weeks off then they taught me, even that lil sheet they give you to study it will only give you a general idea, remember its your career your only gonna get out of it what you put in so dont think o it will be easy they will teach me. wrong study and learn thru every source you can. You can ask any trucker no matter how long they been driving and odds are they see something new everyday (usually a dumb four wheeler but still new) so accept that you are in a evolving career from emission standards to law changes and accept that you will be learning the rest of your life and you should be good if not ok with that mcdonalds hires lol jk just dont let you missing a gear get you down rev it up go back to the gear you were in and try again. be safe out there try to keep updating.

pk so its Thursday and I tested out today I have graduated the driving school with no problems yay gotta go to the dmv tomorrow and ace that and I will be a professional driver as far as road training goes they set you up for success if you dont listen or follow directions that is on you. They even took us thru the dmv road course so that I could get that really hard right hand turn and the hard left, so I am confident that I will pass with lil to no problems. A word of advice they give you paperwork to study if they tell you to study it you need to if you don't it will show and you will fail. but other than that just stay calm be patient you're not gonna be a awesome driver your first week out there that is why you are at the school to learn take advantage don't be afraid to drive or ask questions or take constructive criticisms you are there to get the skills you need to succeed and once it is done don't relax too much stay on point relaxing is when accidents happen and you don't want that either. Until next time I will update later on orientation and mentorship as much as I can laptop will be in the shop. but will stay in touch.
