Valdosta, GA. What a day. Almost 10.5 hours for 520 miles. Nice winds coming out of the SW and of course I am going east and then south. Backup getting into Nashville, then one up Monteagle and then a 10 mile one getting into choo choo., and add to the mess rain and we know what cars are doing when it rains

Richey Rd is off of I-45, there is plenty of parking space on the side of the store.

Sounds like u got it all figured out. Maybe you can tell me what plan to have. If it's the multiple negative settlements, then I'm already on that one thanks. And no, I never take advances, and I never take home time. I live on the truck, literally. I am rabid about mileage and fuel prices. So, thanks for your vast knowledge and condescending attitude.

If is the word, saving that much might take over a year if this keeps up.

My tyrade's over. Just couldn't let that go unanswered. Thanks.

Are u a team or a solo? U shouldn't be having problems and there are many successful lease ops here that can help u if u are open to it...actually if u do the swift system right U should be doing pretty well,so let some of us help u if u will be open to that?

Is the 'Swift System' better for L/O-O/O than it is for company drivers these days?

As a company driver it seems much more difficult these days to make a good week.
It seems everywhere I go there is little freight, and what there is seems to me short on miles and long on time.
My current load out of Laredo picked up on Friday and delivers on Monday, with a whopping 420 miles. And every load offered to me was the same or worse. Mac-30 had zip, but the next pplan was sent 5 minutes later.

Because you got a poor, poor me, it all Swift's and the industries fault ... Me? ... You don't want my advice. I'm just short of 66k revenue miles so far this year, have managed just over $27K net after taxes and maintenance and been able to only take 5 weeks off so far, not including the 2 weeks I'm taking now.

You're rabid about fuel prices? ... What's your average price per gallon?

    Exactly!!
I'm having the same issues everywhere I go. Mac30 blows and planners handing out garbage.

Over the last few months it's gotten worse than when I was brand new and my miles are sinking faster than the Titanic. Repeated discussions with my DM, whom I have a great relationship with, do not seem to help.
I give this Company 110% every day I'm out here and know how to handle my end but I'm only getting 10% back.

Soon I'll be gone and I know there's no one in this Company, outside of my terminal, that could care less. Such is Swift these days.

And this all seemed to have started when they first mentioned the new cameras.
Personally, I think they are over-hiring in anticipation of many drivers leaving because of the cameras, so there are less loads to go around.

Or, it started with the last pay raise and they are shorting the longer term/higher paid drivers.
That's also when Mac-30 went basically dead.

This strange slowdown in freight coincides with both, and this is usually the time of year with the most general freight.

    scottied67 and HousTank Thank this.
