The reliability of the 08-11 trucks are terrible. The later ones are much better, I still hear story's about cummins but it seems to be the pre 2012 trucks.

In most if not all of the USA, a glider has to meet the emissions regs for the year of the engine, not the chassis. In Canada, they decided a little while ago that all trucks must comply with the emissions regs for the year of the chassis, although they allowed gliders that are already here to be grandfathered in.

i would look at the cost of purchase vs. leasing.
you get full manufacture warranty to 500k miles. so, actual repairs won't be an issue. as long as your at the dealer or engine dealer. but the occasional road call or tow. not sure how that works with the warranty. by leasing, you get lower payments. won't have to fork out the dough for a down payment. and you trade her in after so many miles. or years.
that's the way it seems to be working around here. i could get my own truck if i wanted. with zero down and leaseing it. i don't do it becuase i'd have to be crazy to go with the deal that's setup for our o/o's leasing on to the company.
i just got out of a 13 FL with dd15. it wasn't a bad truck, till the end. i'm now in a 16 FL.Oaker Thanks this.
