Rock on Sadwar. Would you ever want to go back to a manual transmission?

OK. I guessing your gunna love it. I would get one, but the 680 is 13 speed only.

Sadwar, I spoke to SFI today about the tripak upgrade. They told me I don't have the option to upgrade upfront. The unit is installed before they receive the truck. Did you mean we could go to a ThermoKing dealer for the upgrade after we get into the truck?

You have to get the upgrade deal worked out when you sign, before they install the battery APU.

The t680 comes with the Tripak. I was referring to the alternator and inverter upgrade.

Per a tripac dealer I spoke with the upgrade of alternator and inverter isn't worth it. You can add a better inverter cheaper.

    Hegemeister Thanks this.

Yes, you'd have to coordinate any other upgrades you want with the local ThermoKing who is installing the APU. Find out from your SFI rep who that is.
This applies to the Freightliners, I have no idea how the install works with a Kenworth. It's possible they're installed at the factory and you can't change anything...

The 120 amp alternator is included in the APU that SFI purchases, so ThermoKing tells me. And I have no doubt I could install an inverter later for cheaper, but I want it done when I pick up the truck and I don't want to deal with it...

    Roll on...

    TennMan Thanks this.

That's the thing. SFI told me you can't make any changes in advance. You get it the way they order it. So I'm thinking to take it to the thermo King dealer for the inverter. It would be worth it if they also do the 120V outlets in the interior of the truck.

The 680 I once drove, had the AC outlets in the wall of the truck, just like a home. It was Great. No extension cords to deal with.
