Ok I just spoke with the dealer and they said that it has a cable operated water valve. Then I checked the resevoir cap and it is free of rust on the spring.

You Will have to take it somewhere that can run test to see if EX. gas is in rad. while its running with test meter that gives reading of EX. gas in coolant then find out where its getting into rad? if you can carry a small jar of your oil over to speedco oil change place or T/stop that has desk top oil anl. machine on site they can give a read/out if it has coolant in the oil?
Airman89 Thanks this. -
Ok thank you. Ill get back to you guys when I have the oil analysis performed.
-
Well I've contacted all local truck stops and none do the oil analysis. I would have to go up north quite a ways to have that done. Are there any in-home test kits available. Most I see you have to mail out the sample. I'm going to go with yes that there is coolant in the oil. I pulled the dipstick a while back and there was a green sludge on the upper part of the dipstick. It hasnt returned yet but I seen it that one time.
-
I drained the oil after sitting over night, how visible should water be when draining it? I drained it into a 5 gallon bucket and dont see any visible water. I only noticed a very small amount of a white cloud like spot (Looks like smoke) maybe a few inches long.
-
You saw a small cloud when the plug was 1st pulled out?
-
yeah a very faint white cloud hard to see but when i looked very close i could see it
-
I tried to take a picture of it but it's not visible by camera
-
Any thoughts?
