They had me bring my West Point VA, RockTenn paper loads to the yard in Claremont. Local driver delivered to Mooresville on Tuesday, meanwhile I was given a load off the yard of furniture headed to Cranbury NJ and left right away and made it to the Lexington VA TA (exit 195 off I 81) and shut it down Monday night. Tuesday at 6am left and made it Cranbury at 1pm. Drop and hook done by 130. Got a backhaul 15 minutes away for 4pm, but headed there and got live loaded by 3pm headed south for Variety Wholesalers in Henderson NC. Stopped at the J in Northeast MD (I 95 x100). Took my 10 and left around 4am, drop and hooked there and finished by noon. Alas, I had only four hours left on my 70 and not getting any hours back until Friday wee hours. So was sent home to get a reset in. Checked my trip odometer and had 3300 miles since last Thursday when I left the house. My FL said I could come back out whenever I wanted. I had not been keeping up with my 70. Never thought running the region, I would run out of my 70. Made it home with an hour left. Now, I can come out Friday or sit out until Monday and get on a regular Mon-Fri or Sat track. Just hate to take 4 days off this early in, but have been running hard. A 34 seems too short. What a dilemma. Love running but need the rest. Hmmmm.

Got my 34 plus in. I didnt want to go out until Sunday after church or Monday morning but didn't want that long of a break either. Got to rescue a load yesterday in Rocky Mount NC off a damaged trailer (no front tires on the front tandems of the trailer). I took it to a place called Mangums who are the middle men who set up the unloading of said trailer and reloading onto a new trailer. So, I drop my empty at Mangums, go back to our Rocky Mount yard drop my tractor off, get the tractor with the bad trailer and head back to Mangums. As I would find out later that trailer would not separate from the tractor. It seemed fused to the fifth wheel eben though I could clear the fifth wheel. Anyway, after a 2.5 hour waiting for the escort to show, Mangum got me another escort to lead me to a place called Hot Line Express which unloaded the damaged trailer, took it back to our drop yard and jumped back in my tractor, back to Mangums, pickup my empty, back to Hot Line, load my good trailer and took my bottled water load to Harris Teeter DC in Greensboro, all 46k. No scales before the Mebane weigh station. Luckily, I got a bypass signal and kept rolling. I knew I was close either way. I dropped the load off there, but my fleet leader gave me a pickup of an empty at the Lowes in Garysburg NC instead of grabbing an empty at Harris Teeter. What was to have been a day trip then back home turned into a overniter. Since I left Plymouth after 6am, my 14 was gonna run out when I left Harris Teeter at 5pm and ordered to Garysburg for an empty. Spent the night at the Wilco Hess in Haw River. But should have a split sleeper so I will leave at 3 am and start heading for Garysburg, then home. I am getting paid 5 hours detention plus mileage from Rocky Mount to Greensboro back to Garysburg, roughly 300 miles. Nite nite.

Breinigsville has been loading them heavy lately. My last load from there was 46k, 79880 gross. That's about as close as I'd like to get. And the drive down 220 from Roanoke to GSO when you're that heavy...ugh!
MidwestResident Thanks this. -
How full was your fuel tank?
-
Mine was a 1/4 tank. Was I happy to hear the beep beep beep on the prepsss. My load was 45,812 ftom the same place, Ladyfire.
-
George, glad they gave you a little extra for all the extra BS on that load.
gntorres61 Thanks this. -
They are giving me a t-shirt for "going the extra mile" which I guess is for coming off a truncated hometime to "rescue" this load of bottled water and deliver it to Harris-Teeter in GBO.
Left the house yesterday, picked up at QVC Rocky Mount with a load to Phoenixville PA. As I got close, roads were closed and a bridge was out. After unsuccessfully trying to figure out a detour. I pulled into a WAWA and called the receiver. There in 5 minutes. I was down to my last half hour. Taking my 10 here. Hopefully, they will have an empty I can snag this morning and head to my next haul which is North of Reading at a cannery and head down to Tillery NC. A prison. My first prison. According to the Q Note, I have to surrender my cellphone and truck keys to the guards and let them inspect my vehicle. My friend, Jaso 37, confirmed this. I better get a shower before I go.bigred81 and runningman0661 Thank this. -
George, did you get a tractor with a Bose seat?
-
I don't think I did. I think they come with the newest trucks. Mine is a 2014.
