If you can't handle the first amendment then go tell your mommy about it.

Im not mad homie. I was just telling the writer of this blog to expect slow moving trucks. The rest is history. I only use a CB for traffic information, if there's an accident i will consider a detor. Every now and then i get an argumentive hot potato. But it's all good. Peace out.

Besides playing pee a boo, how do the professional instructors go about getting PSD students processed and into TNT?

There must be a system in place? Because right now, we are being told we have to act like lot lizards. That's complete crap. It's either a school or it ain't. We are paying customers.

Students are put on a list and it is first come first served, you can talk to Stan about it. Students of course are poached by instructors also from Campus Inn or one they meet on the Pad.

You are, in fact, an employment candidate, not a "customer". You are being offered an employment opportunity, not the other way around. You need them far greater than they need you. They have thousands that want to be here to pick from. Have to keep perspective. There are one heck of a lot of other people that want exactly what you do, as you can see. Won't be long till most of them are no longer even with us.

This is first & foremost a trucking company, one of the largest, at that. It is not a school. It just happens to be an company that happens to train in house.

So, stand out from the rest. Buck it up & roll with it. Believe it or not, this will hold you in good stead down the line. You have to deal with problems & waits as part of life out here. Complaining does not do us one bit of good, actually can hinder things. There will always be things beyond your control. We learn to deal with problems and situations to the best of our ability, as best we can. Happens all the time, and a required character trait out here to survive.

I know you are eager & chomping at the bit. Love to see that! But, try to roll with it. It WILL work out!

Not to dash your hopes, but rather consol you........It was 3wks till I initially got my instructor. It should not take you that long, though. Of course, bad weather & holidays were part of the equation over wintertime. But, know what? Luck of the draw, I wound up with one of the top 10 instructors of the entire fleet. #### glad I was stuck for 3wks, as I never would have gotten him otherwise! (By the way, he's also my boss now......so gained even more opportunity out of that deal). I'm a believer in fate, and that sometimes things do happen for a reason at times, good & bad. It's when you look back on things they seem to make more sense.

Hang in there, buck up, try to keep a positive attitude & hold negativity at bay. Consider this as part of that test of character. You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders. You WILL be alright. Just get through this initial crap & things will go much better when you finally do get out.

I'm rooting for ya over here,
(Wherever the hell HERE may be at any given time!) LOL!

Awesome reply! I thank you for taking the time to type it.

The customer part came from, after this week, win lose or draw, I have to pay $3500 without instruction if I leave Friday.

But let's forget that since I'm not leaving.

Today frustrated again, I decided to apply the advice you guys have, plus I was tired of avoiding the heat under the shelter at prime east, and see if I could learn something. Plus, the shelter is for lazy, negative, complainers. I did learn some backing through osmosis. I almost got to talk to two instructors named one ,Timothy, he was great but smokes. I told him I didn't care, but he was polite, funny, and said he'll think about it and pass my name on.

Ended up out there after we were supposed to have left at three. There were two instructors under the shelter interviewing, one smoker, one non. As the nonsmoker was talking to the guys, I politely interrupted and asked what state he was from. After he said he was a major in the armed services, I started referring to him as major, asked how does the selection process work. He then told the guys who he had been talking to, that if the three people he's interviewing now, while his truck is being repaired, doesn't work out. He'd choose me. I don't know why he said me, since I just walked up. But he might have seen me out on the pad watching backing, and talking to instructors in one hundred degree heat.

I'm starting to get the hang of this.

I really appreciate this site and you guys for the sharing of your experience and input. I also appreciate the compliments and not coming down hard on me for the constructive criticism I've chose to share. But being supportive of this path I've chosen. Thank you all.
