I just swapped my zf meritor automatic out to a eaton manual 10spd. I'm having a problem getting the speed sensor to read. I did check oms on the sensor, and it was 1780 not sure if that correct, or not.

Same thing happened to me when I swapped mine out.Something about the teeth not meshing is what I was told.Replaced mine with http://www.drivetrainamerica.com/k4148-fuller-speed-sensor-kit-was-k3454/

I got to speed sensor that came with the 10spd. I just figured I had a bad sensor, or something wrong with the wiring. I first hooked up to the wiring for the manual transmission, and that didn't work, then I wired it into the wiring harness for the automatic transmission. Still nothing. I wonder if the sensor you used will work in a 10spd too.

Dakota do you know what wire you hooked you speed a sensor too. Did you hook up on the automatic transmission wiring?

That I don't know. They did alot of rewiring so I'm not certain.I do know when I first got it back the speedo worked then about 50 miles down the road it stopped.Called them and they said something about the teeth on the gear.Took it back they drilled out the old speedo and replaced it and worked perfectly ever since.

I was told, I needed to get the ecm reflashed for the manual. I guess, I'm going to try that tomorrow, if I can find soneone to do it.
