What companies have creature comforts? What companies are bare bones?

Anything that runs on 110v will not draw over 1500W. You couldn't do much else at the same time if it was drawing the full 1500w but it would work none the less. I suspect that your fridge is on it's own power supply because they draw so much, I can't imagine that running off of your 1800w inverter.

FYI in case you didn't already. All electronics are required to post their power specs so just find the sticker that tells you how many amps it draws at 110v and multiply the voltage by the amperage to get the wattage.

 

A fridge really doesn't draw a lot of power. If it was running constantly then maybe. This is the back of my fridge.

Kenmore, nice . Wow, I stand corrected, that fridge draws almost nothing. Full size ones can draw up to several hundred watts, I never figured that the small ones would be that low. So does it run off of the 1800w inverter or is there one that's part of the fridge package from the manufacturer?

 

This runs off my inverter. It pulls very little juice, it's free standing, sits behind the passenger seat. It's got a nice sized freezer as well. Most fridges, even larger ones now, they don't pull a lot of power to be able to function anymore.

 

Because some shippers require you have a CB to check in. It's a necessary tool for some.

I used to think a CB was something all companies installed in their company trucks. I was surprised to find most don't.

 

You'd be paying too much. You can pay upwards of $600 for those, or you can go to a Sears, KMart, Home Depot, etc and pick up a dorm size for $200 and get an extended warranty. Most companies won't let you hardwire anything but an inverter, and even then some won't.

 

My fridge draws 300 watts when the compressor kicks in then 100-150 when running.
