Glad to help. I've managed to avoid any land mines & lay down a marker or two at this place for over a year now. I'm doing well here so I figure I can pass a tip or two onward.

Waiting for a new delivery time in Joisey, south of Philly. I much prefer driving the open, straight roads of the Midwest and west to these cramped roads. Preplan calls for an 1,100-mile trip in that direction.
Nice! -
How that APU holding up?
-
It's working as it should. There were several problems: the belt was very old and not at all tight. In fact, after the tech tightened it, he found the second problem...it was rubbing against one of the fan fins and while he was working on it, it snapped. So he replaced it and made several other adjustments and kicked me out the door. There's an almost-new compressor on it so it keeps me cool. I did get a trailer inspection done while all that was being done, so that's a good thing.
Now all I need is some hot weather... -
Come on West DD. Its a nice 104 here in Vegas...... I'm on my last day of hometime and hoping to head up to Washington tomorrow.

And, of course, all good things can end before they start. The preplan was pulled in favor of a shorter one heading for the Mother Ship in Murray.
I hope I haven't been a ba-a-ad boy... -
That's the way it works, right? I suffer for two weeks without an APU and the DAY AFTER I get it fixed, the temp and humidity drop, no matter where I am. I'm sitting here in a dock with the windows open on a very nice 78 degree day.

A thought just occurred to me.
Perhaps one of the outcomes of this trip to Murray will be to trade this 418,000 monster in...you know, now that everything works and I've actually stopped bumping my head on the overhead rack every time I turn around. -
DD you might get to y'all's yard an they have a brand new truck sitting there waiting on you.
-
That feeling you get when you look outside the truck, back at the trailer during unload of petroleum products and you see green liquid dripping down from the trailer bed, onto the tires, and pooling on the ground...
