On another note I get the feeling the company is hurting for money. With this pay scale thy benefits no one but the company, and I've heard that the com drivers are sitting while the daily pay drivers are running, obviously because it's cheaper. They also today told is that they are changing everyone's health insurence from a nice conventional plan to a ppo with a $2500 deductable, again benefits no one but the company an they just sent a msg in Qualcomm, no warning or anything just hey at the end of the month everyone is going on ppo.

Corporate has also been sending nagging, nasty messages about over idling and fuel compliance. Told you are alowed to idle when it's over 80 but if you do you will get calls and messages demanding you explain yourself. I mistakenly pumped a couple more gallons than I was supposed to and got called out on it, even after letting DM know immediately after.

There is definitely some shady stuff going on. I wouldn't advise anyone to sign on with them right now. Seems like might be needing a new company myself soon.

1st. 90 days
$110 a day X 7 days = $770 a week.
$770 a week X 13 weeks = $10,010.
3 to 9 months
$115 a day X 7 days = $805 a week.
$805 a week X 26 weeks = $20,930.
9 to 12 months
$120 a day X 7 days = $840 a week.
$840 a week X 13 weeks = $10,920.
Grand Total For 1st. Year
$10,010 + $20,930 + $10,920 = $41,860.

For a new or an inexperienced truck driver, $41,860 for the 1st. year actually looks and sounds really good.

Maybe im looking at things differently. But that's not very good money when you have to work (7) days a week for it. Maybe there are people that thinks its great money with no days off. Doesn't seem very healthy to me for that little money..

It's not good money, I would only do it and run 200 miles a day which is about the equivalent they are paying you. But I know from working here you will get harassed and bullied into running more like 600 a day, which shows you how highly they value the employees here.

What you're missing is that it would take you working EVERY SINGLE DAY of the year to earn that $41860. If you had anything to a normal schedule, take a good 15% off that. Not horrid but not exactly stellar pay there. Then you flipped that by assuming that at a burger joint you'll be working only 40 hours a week.

That's some pretty convenient math there.

navajo pays .36 a mile to start I was with them before. They encourage you to run hard. i mean you get a bonus if you hit a certain amount of miles a month. lol. I got 2800 to 3300 miles per week.

Am a company driver and paided by mile and I don't sit. It's all about if you want to run. As far as local work have did 1 load in 2 years.
