I'd be interested in the answers, too.

You wont have a problem getting hired with one dui in 1998. I didn't.

If,.......that is the only mark against you.
They may let you in.
Check first. -
You can't get it expunged...you were found guilty and convicted. End of story.
And you can go to Canada any time you want...just not in a Commercial Vehicle without a Ministers Permit.
And before you ask....look up Ministers Permit on your own. -
Actually, Canada will bar you entry even if you go in a POV. If you have a felony or a conviction of anything alcohol related or a conviction of any violent crime, they don't want you.

you can get a dui expunged (at least I know you can in NC) contact a lawyer, if over 15 years old and not a violent felony you can have removed from record and it is gone, for a fee of course (in NC about $600 a case and bout 3 months wait). As far as Canada I do not know I heard they are hard on that sort of stuff.
Mudguppy Thanks this. -
It may be "gone" as far as showing upfor any Tom, Dick, or Harry making an inquiry. But rest assured, if you get pulled by LE and found to be DUI, it will officially be your second DUI/DWI, and all the accompanying fines and penalties/jail time will accompany it. Just sayin'.....

Canada will let you pay a fee of about $1,000 and you have to apply for a waiver..
